Day 1: The Journey Southwest – Royal History & Forest Arrival
Morning: After a warm greeting from your expert guide, depart Kigali. The drive itself is a scenic introduction to Rwanda's "Land of a Thousand Hills." We'll make captivating stops along the way, including a visit to the Nyanza Royal Palace, the traditional residence of Rwanda's former kings, offering a deep dive into the nation's rich pre-colonial history.
Afternoon: Continue your journey southwest, with lush tea plantations signaling your approach to Nyungwe Forest National Park, a vast and ancient Afro-montane rainforest.
