Murchison Falls National Park is the largest in Uganda at 3840 square kilometres. Here is the awe inspiring Murchison Falls where the River Nile hurls itself in convulsions through a narrow crevice and then plunges 40 metres in one breathtaking leap. The park has a variety of vegetation ranging from riparian forests and swamp lands to broad savannah, and provides visitors the opportunity of seeing large concentrations of wildlife including lion, leopard, civet, hyena, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, a host of smaller game, small primates and many bird species, including the rare shoebill stork. The park is especially famous for crocodiles and hippos. Apart from game viewing, the launch trip to the bottom of the Falls is another memorable adventure giving you the experience of the mighty Biblical Nile. On the launch you may see schools of crocodiles and hippos basking on the river banks as well as a variety of birds.
 


Itinerary for all Inclusive 6 days Safari to Murchison Falls  Tour 


Day 1: Start for Murchison Falls National Park tour.                                                                           Depart from Entebbe airport at 12:30pm and fly to Pakuba airfield (Murchison Falls national park and up on reaching here, you will find our company driver/guide who will drive you to your lodge for lunch and after we shall go for the evening game drive. Accommodation options available (all on full board basis)

Day 2: Fishing in Murchison Falls
go fishing at river Nile by boat below the world renowned Murchison falls for the Nile perch and other species. You will spend the whole day fishing from the boat and at the shore.
This boat trip is also excellent for game viewing as you will be fishing in one of the best game areas on the Nile which can prove very exciting at times. Accommodation options available (all on full board basis)

Day 3: Fishing in Murchison falls

today, after breakfast, Descend to the base of Murchison falls in and start fishing that will last for the entire day. You ought to have a relative level of fitness to participate in this activity   as the decent is relatively steep. Well, within the dramatic pools below the legendary waterfalls we will be targeting the large Nile Perch which is caught in these waters weighing over 100 kilos.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Accommodation options available (all on full board basis)

Day 4: Safari game drives Murchison Falls National Park looking for giraffes, elephants, lions, leopard, hippos, crocodiles, etcAfter breakfast head to the Delta in search for bird life and enjoy the game drive to look for lions, giraffes, herds of elephants, buffaloes and many more. We will drive back to the lodge for lunch before taking an afternoon boat cruise to the foot of Murchison Falls. This boat trip along the Nile is often cited as being the highlight of a trip to Murchison since it allows you to get up-close and personal with the animals. Along this stretch of the river, there are reported to be around 4,000 hippos in addition to some enormous Nile crocodiles. The bird life is stunning with brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks. If lucky, you may see the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill, which is a cross between the dodo and a dinosaur. The boat takes you to the base of the falls which only adds to their impressiveness.

Day 5: Delta Boat Trip                                                                                                                               Following a morning breakfast, you will head for a 4 to 5 hours boat trip to the Delta area famed for its high populations of game. You may view Elephants, Buffaloes, Bushbucks, Lions, and a variety of bird species. In the afternoon we shall also do an excursion to the top of the falls which is a fantastic sight where the Nile, Africa’s longest river, is forced through a narrow gap only 7 meters wide. It then plunges down 43 meters. We continue to the lodge with game viewing on the way; look out for hippos, elephants, buffalos and many other animals, seen grazing on the banks of the river. Day 6: Top of the fall & return Trip to Kampala

Today, after breakfast, you will drive to the top of the falls. Later in the day you drive back to Kampala or catch the 13:45 flight from Pakuba to Entebbe and later to and later you can board your flight back home or you can stay a night in Entebbe hotels.
