The reason for this development is the increased demand for flights
to Uganda and the need for faster links between Uganda and the rest of
the world. “Passengers have been wasting a lot of time flying from
London to other European cities or the Middle East in order to come to
Uganda because of limited direct flights. This came to our concern and
we have struggled hard to come to their help,” says Ms Faith Chaitezvi,
Country Manager of British Airways Uganda. The increased number of
flights come along with provision of better flight services, new
aircrafts, new first class products and world class lounges.
According to the new timetable, flights will depart at 12.20 hr from
London Heathrow every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, arriving at
22.50 hr at Entebbe International Airport. The return flights on Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will depart Entebbe at 01.00 hr and
arrive at 07.50 hr in London, allowing travellers plenty of time to make
connections to other flights.
