lodge in Ruhija : the heart of Bwindi Forest, Uganda.
We offer accommodation of 2 twin
tents and 2 family Cabins, all self-contained with ensuite bathrooms. Relax in
comfort after your Gorilla Trek or Birding tour.
Bakiga Lodge is part of Bakiga Community Project, a registered NGO in
Uganda and a registered charity in the UK. We work across Kabale to help
communities access water. As such, all profits of Bakiga Lodge are used to
finance the water projects.
At the same time, we understand the
importance of your comfort, great service, fantastic food and wonderful views.
Our friendly managers, Emmy and
George, will look after you and explain the community work of the charity.

We are just a five minute drive to
the Ruhija Gorilla trekking meeting point and from the start of birding guided
walks.With stunning views across the valley onto Bwindi forest, the lodge is an
ideal location to base your Gorilla trekking or bird viewing tour, while at the
same time supporting community development.
