Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to the Land of a Thousand Hills

• Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

• The rest of the day is yours to relax and acclimatize to the gentle Rwandan air after your journey.

Day 2: Kigali's Soul & Journey to the Misty Mountains

• Morning: After breakfast, embark on a insightful tour of Kigali. This includes a poignant visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful tribute to the victims and a testament to Rwanda's remarkable journey of peace and reconciliation.

• Afternoon: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before driving northwest through stunning terraced hillsides towards the Volcanoes National Park. En route, stop at the Iby'iwacu Cultural Village for an immersive experience. Be welcomed with traditional songs and dances, learn about ancient customs, and witness local craftsmanship.

Day 3: The Gorilla Trek – A Privilege of a Lifetime

• Morning: An early and exciting start! After breakfast, report to the Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette. Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, you will embark on a trek through the lush, mystical rainforest. The hike can be challenging but is immensely rewarding.

• The Encounter: Finding a mountain gorilla family is a moment of pure magic. You will spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they eat, play, and interact—a powerful and humbling experience.

• Afternoon: Return to your lodge with incredible memories and, perhaps, a camera full of photos. The afternoon is free to rest, share stories, or enjoy a well-deserved massage (optional).

 The 4 days Uganda Safari with Gorilla Tour Booking Safaris Ltd will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is home to the rare gentle giants (Gorillas) and to Kibale Forest National Park a home to the Chimpanzees and other 10 primates.

By the end of the 4 days Uganda safari you would have gotten yourself an awesomely a great, adventurous and an unforgettable experience after Chimpanzee and Gorilla tracking in these two primate National Parks.

Activities include;

    Gorilla trekking

    Chimpanzee trekking. 

Day 1: Kampala- Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. 

Depart from Kampala after your early morning breakfast as you head to Bwindi found in South Western Uganda a home to the rare mountain Gorillas. Along the way you will have spectacular views from the landscape which starts from the flat lands to the rolling steep hills, its really a breathtaking journey.

Have lunch en-route in Mbarara and later proceed to Bwindi arriving in the late afternoon. Check in at your preferred lodge, whatever lodge you choose will give you the feel and view of the park together with the amazing sounds of water flowing and birds in the thick forest. Enjoy your dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking- Bwindi Forest .

On this day, be early to raise and have your breakfast early enough and pack your lunch, after which you will be taken to the park headquarters by your driver guide. You will have a briefing from the Park rangers at 8:00am concerning the rules in the park, what to do and not to do when you meet up with the gorillas. Tracking Gorillas takes between 2 and 8 hours.

Thereafter, you will start off with tracking ensure you carried enough drinking water, strong shoes, a jacket and a walking stick. When you meet up the gorillas its your dream come true as it will be a great time watching the playful juveniles, the silverbacks and also other gentle giants feed the young ones.

Take as much photos as you want with your camera flash off. Later head back to your lodge and rest. In the evening you could choose to still stay and relax at the lodge or take an evening walk through the Batwa community, this will give you chance to interact with these people, learn how they live and also watch them perform their traditional dances and songs. Return back t the lodge, have dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park

Start your day with a tasty breakfast and check-out from the lodge and start off your journey to Kibale National Park. A lot will be enjoyed on this thrilling journey including the scenery in Kabale.

You will have a stop to take photo if there is need as you continue to Kibale arriving late evening. Proceed and check in at the lodge, have dinner before you sleep you could opt for an evening forest walk where you will be able to see some bush babies (this is based on the accommodation facility you are using).

Thereafter return to the lodge and rest since you will be having a long interesting tomorrow.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking- Kibale Forest

After your early morning breakfast, proceed to the park for Chimpanzee tracking, it is an amazing experience. You will also have an opportunity to see beautiful birds and other primates such as the White and Black colobus monkeys, Baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Grey cheeked mangabeys among others. On meeting the chimpanzees, it will be amazing as you will watch them jump on different branches, watch them feed and play, you will also see nests in which they rest/sleep.

Take enough photos but with your camera flash off. Later return back for lunch at the lodge, check out and get back on the road to Kampala to your hotel or Entebbe that is if your flight is on that very day.
