When you are doing either a 3 day gorilla trekking safari or a 4 day gorilla trekking experience, you need to have a gorilla permit. A gorilla permit is what authorizes you to do gorilla trekking. This permits are bought at $600 and in low season they go as far as $450. You can always buy these through your tour operator. It is always better to deposit money for the permits before you travel to give the tour operators time to buy your permits and get for you the best trekking section which you would prefer.
Normally with a 3 day gorilla trekking safari- you leave the airport or hotel depending on your time of arrival and go to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you are going to do the trekking from- Day 1 is always for traveling to Bwindi. And after having enough rest, expect day 2 to be the trekking day- the day where you move into Bwindi impenetrable national park in search of the gorillas. Depending on how long you track the gorillas, you might find that you may have enough time to travel back to Kampala.Since the tracking time is a bit unpredictable, you shall find yourself resting after trekking and travelling to Kampala the next day which would be the third day. This is what makes a three day gorilla trekking safari.A 4 day gorilla trekking safari is almost the same
but here depending on the itinerary, you might find yourself tracking gorillas twice or simple moving first to another park like Queen Elizabeth national park for a boat cruise and game drive before or after gorilla trekking. And in principle, a 4- day gorilla trekking is always expensive compared to a 3- day gorilla trekking.
If you want to do gorilla trekking now, don't wait any further. Book with gorilla tour booking safaris,
